Microsoft is recommending setting the kill bit for an ActiveX control object, MPEG2TuneRequest, to avoid an in the wild zero day exploit that allows for remote code execution when a web site containing the exploit is browsed by a user with Internet Explorer.
The MGM casino was the victim of a robbery early this morning. Police responded at 4:42am according to a representative of the Las Vegas Metro police stating that a suspect produced a handgun, robbed the casino of an undisclosed amount of money, and fled using a motorcycle. This is not exactly an Oceans 11 style heist.

A plane performed a fly over of lower Manhattan escorted by two fighter jets in what federal officials are describing as a planned photo op. The incident caused some panic amongst office workers and people on the street, and caused a series of offices to be evacuated in both downtown Manhattan and Jersey City, NJ.
