I can help in translation for Arabic words mentioned in the hacking picture: The words in the top right are in Arabic means : That Hizbollah is always get victory. (Hizbollah) is a Lebanon Movement Army supported by Iran.

The red word in the flag means:

Calling Hussien (Hussien) is one of the Islamic Holly Leaders.

The words below the flag are in Farsi language (Farsi language using Arabic letters).

Interesting item which I would have probably missed otherwise (I am not a big fan of twitter).

Motivation is a key thing here and from the looks of it this could easily be script-kiddies either in or outside of Iran.

I would have thought it unlikely that any state sponsored or controlled actors would have been this blatant in what was effectively a trivial attack - other than twitter users the only reason this is newsworthy is that anything twitter based seems to make the news.

If this had been carried out by "professional" or indeed expert hackers, I can think of lots of ways it would have been more harmful. I suspect in this instance it is a case of someone exploiting a problem with a DNS server and using twitter as their springboard.
